When I was at Disney for Arthur's triathlon in May, there was a mom sitting next to me talking to another mom. She said that her son told one of the Disney characters that he lost his first tooth that day. The Disney character told the son that since it was his first one that the tooth fairy was going to leave him $50 under his pillow that night....she said she just glared at the character and was in a quandry of what to do.

No, the going rate at our house is $2 a tooth. Too bad, so sad.
